Personalized Prosthetic & Orthotic Care in Cody & Billings

When a device is built for your body, it should fit your life too. Alpine Medical’s Cody and Billings locations offer prosthetic and orthotic care designed around each patient’s goals, whether that means walking the dog again, keeping up at recess, or getting back to work. Every device is measured, fabricated, and fitted with close attention to detail, and every patient is treated with honesty and respect from the first visit on.

Our prosthetics and orthotics team serves Cody, Billings, and communities throughout the Big Horn Basin, northern Wyoming, and southern Montana, and works alongside the same family-owned Alpine Medical team that has supported the region since 2014.

Quick Answer

What does a prosthetist and orthotist do?

A prosthetist designs and fits artificial limbs (prostheses) for people who have lost part of an arm or leg. An orthotist designs and fits braces and supports (orthoses) that stabilize, correct, or protect a part of the body. A Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO), like the practitioners at Alpine Medical in Cody, WY and Billings, MT, is trained and certified to provide both.

Our Prosthetic & Orthotic Services

Upper & Lower Extremity Prosthetics

Losing a limb changes daily life, but it doesn’t have to limit it. We build custom prosthetic arms and legs for patients with amputations, choosing components and designs that match how each person lives and moves. Along the way, we explain every step so you understand your options and feel confident in your device.

Upper & Lower Extremity Orthotics

Orthotic braces provide support, alignment, and protection for arms, legs, feet, and joints. Pediatric orthotics are a particular focus of our practice. We coordinate with each patient’s physical therapists and physicians so that the brace, the therapy plan, and the family’s goals all work together.

Cranial Remolding Orthoses

Cranial remolding helmets gently guide head shape in infants with conditions such as plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome). We know this can feel overwhelming for new parents, so we keep families informed with clear communication, regular check-ins, and honest updates on progress.

Scoliosis Bracing

A scoliosis brace works best when it fits well and the patient feels supported in wearing it. We take the time to fit each brace carefully, answer questions from both patients and parents, and stay involved through adjustments and follow-up visits.
